Step One · Planning

Measure your zones before you buy a single piece.

Every pool terrace has three distinct zones — the water deck, the transition space, and the shade zone. The mistake most people make is buying furniture before they understand which zone needs what. Spend twenty minutes with a tape measure and a rough sketch before you open a single catalog. We can help you read that sketch.

Step Two · Anchor Pieces

The chaise is the hearth of the pool terrace.

Everything else arranges itself around the chaise the way farmhouse chairs arrange themselves around a table. Get this piece right and the rest of the space follows. Our teak chaises are hand-jointed — no hardware, no wobble — and the slat spacing is calibrated so water drains in under three seconds. They look better at year three than they did on delivery day.

Step Three · Shade & Shelter

Shade is not optional — it's the room's ceiling.

A pool area without a defined shade zone isn't a terrace, it's just a deck. The parasol or pergola defines the ceiling of your outdoor room. Our raw linen parasols are woven with a loose enough weave to move in a breeze — they breathe the way a curtain breathes — while the aluminum ribs are powder-coated in six earth tones that age like painted stone.

Step Four · Living Décor

Living things make the terrace feel inhabited.

An empty planter is a missed sentence. Our ceramic vessels are hand-thrown in small batches — no two alike — and the glazes are iron-oxide formulas that oxidize toward the same tones as the teak over time. Fill them with ornamental grasses, agave, or trailing rosemary and the pool area begins to feel less like a feature and more like a place.

Step Five · Protect & Maintain

The pieces that age best are the ones you barely have to think about.

Teak weathers to silver-grey on its own and requires nothing. A single annual application of our tung oil blend will keep it honey-warm if that's your preference. The ceramics are frost-rated to −20°F. The linen cushion covers are machine-washable. We wrote a 38-page guide on this. You can have it for free. Or you can let us walk you through your specific setup on-site.

From the clients

"We walked in with a photo of empty concrete and left with a plan. Six weeks later our terrace looked like it belonged in a resort property."

"I source pieces for five or six high-end residential builds a year. Lounge is the only showroom where I don't have to explain what I'm trying to achieve."

"Three rental seasons. The teak still looks oiled, the ceramics haven't cracked, and guests keep asking where the furniture is from."
